Benoit Clair, Chairman
Mr. Clair is an engineer, with a complementary education in management.
After 13 years in the industry, he joined CNPP in 1986 and became managing director in 1990. He has been appointed treasurer of AFNOR, the French standardization body, since 1999.
In April 2000, he was elected chairman of EFSG, European group of Certification bodies in fire and security, working for mutual recognition of testing and certification in Europe. He is also Chair of the
CFPA International and member of the prevention sub-committee of the European insurers Committee (CEA).

Protection Association UK, The Institution of Fire Engineers (UK) Malaysia Branch, Professional Member, Society of Fire Protection Engineers U.S.A, Life Member of the American Institute
of Management, past and present President & Committee Members of many other Non Government Organisations in Malaysia. With his involvement with all these bodies, he has contributed
generally by bringing into Malaysia latest field of Fire & Safety Technology. Presently also Secretary/Treasurer of CFPA-A.
Hubert Ruegg, Treasurer Mr. Ruegg is General Manager of Swiss Institute for the Promotion of Safety & Security (Institute of Safety & Security) Zürich Switzerland.
The Swiss Institute of Safety & Security is a service organization for risk management and corporate safety and security and works with the business world, insurance companies and the authorities
for the purpose of loss prevention. Prior to joining the Institute in 1995, he was employed from 1986 to 1991 at CIBA-GEIGY AG and from 1991 to 1994 at GURIT-ESSEX AG with the
following responsibilities: Member of the Executive Committee, Group Manufacturing Director of 250 employees in Switzerland, France, England, Spain and South Africa. Mr. Ruegg received a
Masters Degree in Chemistry at Technical High School ETH, Zürich in 1983 and proceeded to obtain his PhD in 1986 with his doctoral thesis in Metalorganic Chemistry. In 2002, Mr. Ruegg
was appointed Chairman of CFPA Europe and Secretary/Treasurer of CFPA-I.
Hatem Ezzat Kheir, Director General Manager of Kheir Group - Graduated From Cairo University as a Mechanical Engineer on 1981 and worked one year in
the Mechanical Engineering Department at Mansoura University. He then joined a private sector company in Egypt. He worked in Saudi Arabia from 1984 until 1989, returning back to
Egypt as Area Manager for international company in pump business.
He is a one of the founders, and a board member of Egyptian Fire Protection Association, and represented Egypt in many international conferences in fire protection He is also the
only foreign member serving in the technical committee of fire pump in NFPA, member of SFPE, USA. His company is working in the field of fluid handling systems, including water,
waste water, process, fire, power and industrial applications. He presently serves as one of three Directors of CFPA-I.
Peter Johansen,
Director Peter Johansen is the managing director of Danish Institute of Fire and Security Technology (DBI). DBI is a technological service enterprise that endeavours
to protect lives and property by promoting active and passive fire prevention and by enhancing the level of security and fire safety.
Peter Johansen is a qualified engineer in construction since 1971. From 1972 to 1991 Peter Johansen worked for the National Fire Protection Authority under the Ministry of
Justice as technical manager. Peter Johansen is vice chairman of CFPA Europe and serves as one of three Directors of CFPA- I.
Gary Keith,
Director Gary Keith is NFPA’s Vice President, Field Operations, overseeing four divisions within the organization: Regional Operations, International Operations,
Fire Analysis & Research and Public Education. Gary also has management responsibility for NFPA's fire investigation activities.
Gary has presided over the Home Fire Sprinkler Coalition, a project dedicated to public education for residential fire sprinkler systems, since its inception in 1996.
Prior to coming to NFPA in 1995, Gary worked 15 years for Factory Mutual in Norwood (Mass.) in various field engineering and management positions.
During that time, he served on several NFPA technical committees and chaired the Pre-Incident Planning committee. He also served his home town community for
20 years as a call firefighter and fire protection engineer with the West Bridgewater (Mass.) Fire Department.
